~Bodyline package & todays outfit~

So, this is what I bought from Bodyline:
4 Dresses
1 Eyelash curler
1 Bag

A princessy pink dress. ^^

An off-white floral dress. (however, the black version of this one, that I also bought, I sold it to my niece, since it didn't really fit me very well, and beacuse she looked so perfect in it. ^^

The lovely music-bag. ^^ so pretty.
And the matching Music-dress. ^^ However I have to make the armholes(?) a bit wider/deeper, to make it more comfortable to wear. ^^

Todays outfit:
Yeah, as you can tell, I own very much from bodyline, this dress is no exeption. ^^v
and the bolero is made out of an old top. The stocking and socks are also offbrand. ^^

~Matching Grey and Pink, Boleros from Bodyline~

Like you probably allready know, I'm waiting for this Bodyline dress, the Grey version.
And I came to think of that it would be really cute to match this grey dress (and the bag also in grey) with Pink, more exact a Pink bolero. So I had to look for some bodyline boleros:

Yeah, this one is black on the picture, but you can buy it in Pink too. ^^ It's really down to earth and cute. and would go really well with the dress. ^^

But I've really fallen in love with this one, it's so cute. ^^ and would add a little more sweetness to the grey dress. ^^ However, I'm afraid that it will be to tight over the arms, beacuse as you can see the other bolero is looser around the arms than this one. But I'd like to buy both, just to see which one fits better. ^^ But first I have to wait for the Grey dress and bag to arrive before I can start to think about new things to buy. ^^v

The clothes in this post can be found here:

~Pink Strawberry inspired look with Bodyline clothes~

http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/

I was looking around on Bodyline's website, and I found that pretty Pink dress with dots, and I began to think about the Pink Strawberrybag, and boom, I wanted to find more clothes to make an outfit of it. ^^ Just for fun. I wouldn't mind owning this outfit myself though. ~
I know I've posted two bags for this outfit, but think if you want to carry alot of things with you, then it wouldn't be so bad to have one shoulderbag and one handbag, and they both match the Pink Strawberry theme I was going for. ^^ The pink strawberry earrings made it all really cute too. I think the white bolero would suit this outfit perfect too, I was concidering the pink version first, but decided that it would be a bit too much pink in this case. ^^
And well, I've always wanted a pair of Heartbuckle shoes, even though these are replicas of Babys lovely shoes. ~

~Tell us about yourself - meme~

I took this meme from Lolita Charm blog: http://lolita-charm.blogspot.com/ ^^v Thank you!

COLOURS

What colours can be found in your Lolita closet?
Mostly Pink, White, Green, Bordeaux, Blue, Black and Lilac I think. ^^

What is your favourite colour with Lolita?
I like Pink the most, but I'd really like to have a yellow and mint coloured dress. ^^

What is your least favourite colour in Lolita?
Orange. I don't like Orange much as it is.

Which uncommon colour do you want to try out?
That's a difficult question, but I'd like to match pink and yellow together in an outfit, but that's not so uncommon now is it? ^^v

DESIGN
Are you more a Onepiece, Jumperskirt or a Skirt person?
I like Jumperskirts the best. ^^ Either with a blouse underneath or a bolero over. But on a hot summer day you can wear it as it is. ^^ But I could as easily wear an OP. I'm not much of a Skirt person however. ^^v

Which cut do you like the best?
It dosen't matter much to me. ^^

Print or no Print?
I like both, but I think I'd rather have a print.

How does a dress/skirt have to look like that it will be a "must have" item for you?
I don't know, I just have to like it a whole lot, it's more how you feel when you look at it, rather than being a specific way. ^^

STYLES
What is your favourite style in Lolita?
Classic and Sweet.

Which style do you wear regularly?
Sweet and Classic with a bit of Casual over it. If I'm not in Lolita I wear Lolita inspired clothing.

Which style you want to try out?
Hime-Lolita, also Kuro and/or Shiro, Country would be fun to try too. ^^ I wouldn't mind to try alot of styles.

Which style you never want to try out/wear again?
Ero, I don't belive there should be something sexual about Lolita, that's why ero is a big no no for me. I don't mind other people wearing it as long as they do it good/tasteful.

BRANDS

Brands yes or no and why?
I think if you can afford Brands, then go for it, but when you can't afford it it's nice to have places like Bodyline to count on. I think it works just as well with well done homemade outfits as brand outfits, however I really think we should support the brands too since it's thanks to them we can have all of these wonderful Lolita things. ^^

Which brand is your favourite?
Baby the stars shine bright, it's the first brand I got to know about and it's still a favourite of mine. But I also like Innocent World and Angelic Pretty. I think most brands have alot to offer that I like. ^^

Which is your least favourite brand?
I don't know, I don't think I have a least favourite right now.

Ever had a good/bad experience with brand?
Unfortunatly I haven't bought directly from a brand yet, so I don't have any experience in the matter, I've only bought one Baby dress second hand from a friend of mine. ^^

Will this experience encourage/stop you from buying brand?
I haven't got any bad or good experience, but I would definatly like to buy brand clothes some day when I can afford it. ^^

OTHER
Did you ever get surprised by a piece of Lolita?
No, I don't think so. maybe some choices of design haven't been my cup of tea, but that's about it I think. ^^

Did you ever get disappointed by a piece of Lolita?
Luckily No. ^^

Things that you like about Lolita?
I like that it's so versatile, pretty, and I like how I feel when I'm wearing it. For me Lolita has become a part of me and my life.

Things that you dislike on Lolita?
That sometimes your skirt make things fall down on the floor/ground. XD

Do you have a Lolita fashion idol, if 'yes' who is it?
Oh I don't know. I admire my friend Malin (Insomnalia) a lot, she's an inspiration to me. She is how a lolita should be, kind, pretty, wears both brand and offbrand clothes on a daily basis. ^^ Her home is so fairylike and inspiring as well. ^^

Does Lolita affect your every day life?
Yes, since it's a part of who I am, I like to have it around me as much as I can. ^^

Do you buy Lolita related things, like cute looking furniture?
Yes, most things that I buy are cute, I like having pretty things around, like I said. ^^v And I would love to decorate my future apartment/home as lovely as I imagine. My room has a tendency of being very sweet and pink. ^^

Do you read/buy the Gothic Lolita Bible?
I only have one Gothic Lolita Bible, but I like reading it and I wouldn't mind buying more of those. ^^ However I have alot of Gosu Rori magazines that I also like a whole lot. ^^

How to you describe your fashion style to others that don´t know about Lolita?
I start of by saying that it's called Lolita and that it has nothing to do with the novel by the same name. Then I say that it's inspired by Victorian clothing and the Rococo period. That it's a sweet and lovely Japanese fashion. ^^ I don't really know, I try to explain as good as I can what it is for me to be a Lolita. However I've mostly talked to people I know about it, so it's more casual than what I make it sound like here. :'D

Is there something you want to say to your fellow Lolitas?
You are beautiful, I'm really glad that we can spread the sweetness of Lolita around the world. Don't be afraid to add a bit of yourself to your style and keep up the good work. ^^v

~Outfit of the day; 14th of January 2010~

Outfit:
Bolero: Offbrand (christmas gift from mum and dad)
Dress: made by my mum
Brosch: made by my mum.
I also wore a pair of black tights and a pair of simple knee high black socks. ^^

I took these pictures at school in a bathroom mirror, so I couldn't really get a picture of all of me. But you probably understand how I look anyway. ^^v
I guess this is more of a Classic/Casual Lolita outfit, I don't really care which "label/style" of lolita I have, I'd rather just call it Lolita. ^^ But I do like the Classic and Sweet styles the most to tell you the truth. ^^

~Marie Antoinette - Movie~

~

This is a beautiful movie, I really enjoy watching all the dresses, pastrys and all the colors. ^^ I like this movie, even if it isn't the best story in the world, but I like that the dialouges are quite few, and the feeling through out the movie is more important than the actual story, in this case. ^^ However I think that the events in this movie are quite entertaining anyway. ^^

This post is mostly for inspirational purpose. ^^
Enjoy! ~

~Lolita~

Okay, I know I did this kind of backwards. I should have made a post about the japanese fashion called Lolita at the beginning, but better late than never right? ^^v

And like every Lolita has to say: Lolita has nothing to do with the story with the same name written by Vladimir Nabokov. There is nothing sexual about this fashion. period.
Lolita or Gothic Lolita is a Japanese fashion, inspired by Victorian clothing as well as the Rococo period.
What I think is so great about this fashion is that it's so versatile, Gothic Lolita, Casual Lolita, Sweet Lolita, Classic Lolita, as you can hear there are many different styles of Lolita. (I'm sorry but I won't write down all of them, and I won't explain them all.) I think that's why it's so popular, beacuse no matter what taste you have, you can probably find some lolita style that fits you and your uniqe personality. ^^

Some Lolita brands:
Baby the stars shine bright: http://www.babyssb.co.jp/
Innocent World: http://innocent-w.jp/
Angelic Pretty: http://angelicpretty.jp-stores.com/
Metamorphose: http://www.metamorphose.gr.jp/english/

"Lolita offbrand":
Bodyline: http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/
I don't know what to call this, It's Bodyline, it's not concidered a Lolita Brand however, since they tend to do replicas of some of the brands clothes, bags and so on. And they have a rumour of having bad quality clothes. But, even people who are really against Bodyline have admitted that their quality really have improved.
And as far as I'm concerned, I like Bodyline, it's way cheaper, so for a person like myself, who doesn't get alot of money, who can't afford a brand dress, can buy more clothes that are wearable, actually really great some of them. I mean for the money of One Brand dress, you can get atleast 4 Bodyline dresses. I can't see the badness in that. And I belive that Bodyline dresses are better to have when you want to be a fulltime Lolita, a daily Lolita. Sometimes you just can't wear an expensive brand dress, or you won't because you don't want it to get stained or broken in any way.
I'm not saying I don't like brand, I love brand clothes, but I really enjoy Bodyline as well, they put more meat on my closet bones, if you get my point. ^^v

For more information about the Lolita fashion:
http://www.lolitafashion.org/
http://lolita-handbook.livejournal.com/
http://community.livejournal.com/egl

For Swedish readers:
http://gothloli.se (the Swedish Lolita Forum)

So to everyone who's new to the lolita fashion but thinks it's the right fashion for you:
Look for information, look at photos, try to understand the fashion, when you've done that, don't be afraid to do your own thing of it. Don't think of the information as rules, think of it as guidelines.

Good luck!

~Mori Girl~

Mori Girl, it means forrest girl in japanese. ^^
And I really think the name sums it up. ^^ To be a Mori Girl, to be wearing Mori Girl clothes you just have to look like you came right out of the forrest, but also with a hint of fairytales.
I can see a girl sitting in the forrest with cute little animals all coming up to say hello to this sweet girl. Animals like rabbits, bunnies, roedeers and squirrels. ~

I just love this picture, these girls are so cute. ^^

Inspirational Photos:

I found all of these pictures at: http://morigirls.tumblr.com/
If you want to get a better idea of what mori girl is, check out that site. It dosn't tell anything in words, but all of the pictures gives you a pretty good idea. ^^

~Risa-chan 2010~

Since I'm a newbie at blogspot, and it takes forever to upload the photos, I decided to only upload my 2010 photos. ^^ (For Swedish readers i have a picture diary: http://risa-chan.bilddagboken.se )

4th of January 2010:

On my 20th birthday I got a bolero/cardigan that my mother made for me. ^^ It's really pretty.~

It looks like I got a tail. XD (My cat refused to move when I sat down, so he was behind me on the chair.)

9th of January 2010:
Outfit of the day. ^^
Blouse: Made by my mum
Dress: Bodyline
Socks: offbrand

I took a picture of my outfit myself. ^^

The secret behind the puffy bellshaped skirt. ^^ A very big petticoat. ~
It was done the night before. ^^ (My creative mother made it. ^^v)

This is my outdoor look in winter. However when I'm outside I also have a pair of white gloves on. It felt very unusual to have such a puffy petticoat under the dress, I couldn't even close my coat over the skirt. XD but I really like the puffy bellshaped look of the skirt. ^^

Me and my sister Sanna. ^^
Bye Bye!~

~Introducing Risa-chan~

Risa-chan.
My name is Lisa, I'm 20 years old and I'm the author of this blog. ^^v
I live in the cold yet beautiful country called Sweden, I live in the north.
Like I said I have a huge passion for the Japanese fashion called Lolita, I've been in love with it since late 2006, however I've only been able to wear it since 12th of March 2008 when I bought my first lolita dress.
Luckily for me I had a person near me who you could call a Mentor in the fashion, who helped me with alot of information and tips, her name is Malin (also known as Insomnalia.), and I got a great friend in the process. ^^ I just wanted to send out some love to her. ^^v
I also adore BJD's, Ball Jointed Dolls, I'll probably tell you more about them some other time. ^^v All I need to say is that I'm trying to save some money so I can buy one myself. ^^v
Apart from the Lolita fashion I really enjoy the Mori-Girl fashion too, however I haven't really tried wearing that fashion much. But I like looking at Mori-Girl inspired pictures.
Oh, I also want to say that I am not a perfect lolita in anyway, there are alot of girls (and boys) who have been into the fashion longer than me and who have alot more knowlage about it. But I do concider myself as a lolita and I try to wear it every day, atleast that is my goal, and I'm wearing lolita inspired clothing if I'm not in a lolita outfit. ^^v

I know I said I'd put my 2008-2010 pictures here, but I'll do a separate post just for that instead, I haven't perfected my skills at putting several photos in one post here at blogspot so. ^^v

//Risa-chan

~Welcome to Lolita Life!~

Hello and Welcome to my blog called Lolita Life. ^^
This is a place where I will write about my passion for lolita fashion and other sweet things I adore. ^^ I'll probably write down some tips for newbies in the lolita fashion. Post some inspirational photos and just "daily outfit"-photos and so on too.
And I guess my blog will make itself known as I continue to make posts here. ^^v This is also a way for me to improve my English.

I'll tell you a bit more about myself in my next post, where I also will post a bunch of pictures from 2008 until now, 2010. ^^v So you get a chance to see how my Lolita wear has changed and hopefully improved.?
